Selection for this event is entirely discretionary, and where possible, the selectors have chosen teams with some experienced fencers, and are providing opportunities for fencers that may not have represented Wales previously.
Welsh Fencing has endeavoured to selected the squad early to give suitable time for fencers and their families to make the required arrangements. Selected fencers will be notified by email and will need to confirm their availability by 31st October. Further details will be announced in due course.
Fencers competing at this event are eligible for the "Wales Regional Team" patch and will be presented with these at the event.
Welsh Fencing will be paying the entry fees for this event, providing a Cadet Winton t-shirt, and subsidising the accommodation costs for each fencer. We will also be providing coach support and a fully qualified team manager to organise the event and ensure the safety and welfare of the fencers.
A contribution will be required for each fencer. This is estimated to be around £75 to £100. This will go towards fencers' accommodation, dinner, and breakfast.
The Board would like to congratulate the fencers selected and wish them every success at this event
